Be very careful when you’re fed an ad on TikTok for a new medical device, but often times they can either be meaningless wastes of money or pose a legitimate risk to your health! It’s also scary on TikTok because it’s not obvious when videos are ads here. That TikTok featuring a “real” person in their bedroom talking about how great a product is for their medical condition might not be “real” at all, but a careful crafted advertisement designed to trick you into thinking these products work.
